Webinar: European policies and the role of youth

This webinar falls within the Council Presidency Subgranting Mechanism "For an open, fair and sustainable Europe in the world: European policies and the role of youth". The overall objective of this event is to communicate and share information on public participation and how young people and the general public can become active citizens.

It will be moderated by sociologist Luísa Schmidt, principal researcher at the Institute of Social Sciences at the University of Lisbon, and will include the speakers - João Amaral (Director of the Communication Office of the Assembly of the Portuguese Republic), Germán Callejas (Professor and Researcher of University of Santiago Compostela) and Regina Quelhas Lima (European Information Center Jacques Delors) - who will address different topics related to public participation and the 2030 Agenda. Part of the session will be reserved to provide for discussion and sharing of ideas, as well as to promote communication between the speakers and the participants.
